As a member of The Kiwanis Club of Marietta, our primary focus is serving children in our community and around the world, but we recently adopted a special “Senior Kids” project for residents and staff members of Gaines Park Senior Living. I dropped off a couple baskets of treats to our Club President Debbie McCracken, and then Debbie delivered the whole collection of prepackaged snacks, handwritten notes, grown-up coloring and activity books, crayons, pens, etc., to Gaines Park. It was a relatively small project, but it helped to spread a little cheer to the residents and staff who have been spending quite a lot of time together lately.
