DION’S CARE STORY
I am part of the 3D printing community and we are doing all we can right now to supply those in need of masks and shields. I already had one 3D printer but purchased another — one prints various plastics and the other one resin. With the two printers I can now create both face masks and face shields at the same time.
Each mask takes about 4 hours to print and is made from PLA plastic. These masks are reusable and washable. The only thing that needs to be changed is the small filter that is housed in the front. I am working on sourcing a filter than can be adapted for the masks.
Once I have a good amount of masks printed I am going to donate them to a local hospital.
