What is Veritext Virtual + TestimonyIQ
TestimonyIQ is the overarching name for generative AI enhancements available upon request within the Veritext Virtual remote proceeding platform. TestimonyIQ is often referred to in two separate categories: TestimonyIQ | LIVE (the features used within the virtual proceeding) and TestimonyIQ | RECAP (the deliverable emailed after the proceeding).
TestimonyIQ features are intended to provide material advantages in case strategy, analysis, and planning, but are not intended to replace the need for court-admissible certified transcripts or certified video — which ensure that the record of testimony is certified as accurate and unbiased.
Can all parties view TestimonyIQ | LIVE within the proceeding?
Yes. If TestimonyIQ has been ordered, all parties have access to turn on the TestimonyIQ features within the Veritext Virtual session. Similarly, all parties must agree to use the feature in the terms and conditions before the session begins.
Is the raw AI-generated material from TestimonyIQ cleaned up in any way before I receive it?
No. What you see is what you get. All AI-generated deliverables are draft-quality and inadmissible. They are provided solely as helpful immediate notes delivered quickly after the proceeding. They are not formatted and do not include line numbers. For a clean and accurate copy, an official transcript needs to be purchased. If an official transcript is purchased the officiating Reporter will use their detailed notes to ensure accuracy and procedure a certified official transcript.
The TestimonyIQ features are intended to provide material advantages in case strategy, analysis, and planning, but are not intended to replace the need for court-admissible certified transcripts, and if necessary, certified video to ensure that the record of testimony is certified as accurate and unbiased.
How can I receive a copy of the TestimonyIQ | RECAP deliverable?
TestimonyIQ | RECAP “copies” follow the same standards as a transcript copy. All participants are offered the ability to purchase a “copy” of the TestimonyIQ | RECAP deliverable.

How is TestimonyIQ different from ordering Realtime?
Realtime is a highly specialized skill with an unmatched level of accuracy that is provided by a professional reporter. With realtime, complex terms and surnames are accurately captured and standard page-line formatting is viewed.
TestimonyIQ streaming session text can be a valuable tool when an unedited, uncertified and raw note-like copy of the proceeding would be useful. Complex terms and surnames are captured phonetically and may not be notated accurately.
How is the TestimonyIQ Session Text different from ordering a Rough Draft?
The AI-generated TestimonyIQ session text is a draft-quality product. It is essentially unformatted speech-to-text notes that do not include page-line numbers, is uncertified, and inadmissible. Session text is assistive only and not created, reviewed or captured by a reporter. Terms and surnames are more phonetically captured and may not be correctly spelled.
Rough drafts are a quick-turnaround uncertified version of the transcript captured and prepared by a professional reporter. Rough drafts are delivered using typical transcript formatting, including page and line numbers, and are carefully reviewed by the reporter prior to delivery.
How is TestimonyIQ different from Videography?
The TestimonyIQ | RECAP deliverable includes a recording of the video session. This raw session video is an inadmissible and uncertified product. It is bundled with a copy of the session text, is organized into handy AI-generated smart chapters, and includes a short AI-generated synopsis of the proceeding.
Legal videography is the certified video capture of the record by a skilled professional legal videographer. This type of video can be paired with other tools like Exhibit Capture and is a neutral secure archival video record. It is a certified product created to be used for trial and available for videosyncing.
How accurate is TestimonyIQ?
Though TestimonyIQ is fairly accurate, it’s important to shift thinking and expectations when utilizing any AI-generated product. AI-generated materials are draft-like in nature and may vary in quality. They should not be mistaken for a certified transcript produced by an officer of the court.
Can TestimonyIQ offer translation?
Not at this time. If an attendee is speaking a foreign language, TestimonyIQ will not notate that aspect of the session. In the future, abilities for AI-translation may become available. However, if translation is required for the certified official record, a professional translator should be scheduled. Any AI-generated assistive translation will not be placed on the record.
How can I receive a demo of TestimonyIQ?
Please contact your sales representative and ask for them to coordinate a demo for you.
