Leguire Shorthand Reporting was founded by Renee Leguire. Following her graduation from Champlain College in 1982, she began her court reporting career in Albany, New York. Over more than four decades, she built extensive experience across a variety of reporting environments, from the floor of the New York State Senate to the New York State Capitol, where she served as stenographer to Governor Mario M. Cuomo, as well as transcribing New York State Parole Board hearings.
Throughout her career, Renee has remained dedicated to excellence, professionalism, and advancing the court reporting profession. She earned the New York State Certified Shorthand Reporter (CSR) designation and successfully completed the National Court Reporters Association’s rigorous speed and accuracy certification examinations. She also served as a board member of both the New York State Court Reporters Association and the New York State Board for Certified Shorthand Reporting.
In 1987, Renee founded Leguire Shorthand Reporters, growing the firm over nearly four decades into a trusted court reporting agency serving New York’s Capital Region. She credits its success to the talented stenographers, loyal clients, and valued professional relationships that have supported the firm throughout the years.
