Veritext Partners with the FCRA to Educate the Next Generation of Reporters

Beginning July 2018, Veritext will be supporting the Florida Court Reporters Association (FCRA) in an effort to promote the NCRA’s A to Z™ program across multiple cities in Florida.

The A to Z™ Program is a complimentary six-to-eight week course that introduces interested individuals to the basic theory of court reporting, career potential and how to write simple words on a steno machine in advance of registering for court reporting school. The A to Z™ program was created by Nancy Varallo and the NCRA, and is instructed by volunteer court reporters around the country.  The program is FREE to all interested candidates and is the first requirement of any court reporting student seeking financial assistance or scholarships from ProjectSteno.org.

If you’re interested in volunteering to teach an A to Z™ program (or part of it), have more questions about what is required, or know any prospective students, please sharing this post or email Andy Fredericks at [email protected].

Industry Advocacy

As an advocate for this industry, Veritext believes that a key component to the preservation of the court reporting profession is to provide scholarship and education opportunities for incoming and enrolled students. One of the ways in which we contribute to this ambitious effort is by supporting industry foundations and organizations such as ProjectSteno and the National Court Reporting Foundation (NCRF) in their efforts to cultivate the profession and inspire the next generation of court reporters.  Please view the Veritext Industry Advocacy page for more information.
